Our Story

Moving Forward in 2024

The Kāhui Ako Principals unpacked the big question “What does success look like for all ākonga in our Kāhui Ako?” at their Strategic Planning day, late in 2023.   After discussing individual/ collective needs and priorities, reviewing such documents as ”Collaborative practice emerging across Kāhui Ako: Ten trends”, and noting the anticipated direction of Te Mātaiaho, the Literacy and Numeracy Strategy and various change projects ahead,  fresh Achievement Challenges and a model of collaboration was determined.

Achievement Challenges.

Model of Collaboration:

The Across School Leads will facilitate a termly hui with the Within School Lead Teachers. The Within School Lead Teachers will be working in with 3 smaller ‘collab’ groups, twice termly. The aim is to have a model where ‘ heads together’

may ignite the spark to lead solutions to real problems in these Achievement challenge areas, back at an individual school level.
